چکیده

We investigate the statistical properties and origin of scatter within spatially resolved surface brightness profiles CHEX-MATE sample, formed by 118 galaxy clusters selected via SZ effect. These objects have been drawn from Planck catalogue cover a wide range masses, M$_{500}=[2-15] \times 10^{14} $M$_{\odot}$, redshift, z=[0.05,0.6]. derived emission measure determined full sample. found that there is critical scale, R$\sim 0.4 R_{500}$, which morphologically relaxed disturbed object diverge. The median each sub-sample differs factor $\sim 10$ at $0.05\,R_{500}$. There are no significant differences between mass- redshift-selected sub-samples once proper scaling applied. compare with sample 115 Three Hundred suite cosmological simulations. simulated systematically steeper than those observations. For first time, simulations were used to break down components causing profiles. investigated behaviour due object-by-object variation. high scatter, approximately 110%, $R<0.4R_{500}$ genuine difference distribution gas in core. intermediate $R_{500} =[0.4-0.8]$, characterised minimum value on order 0.56, indicating region where cluster closest self-similar regime. Larger scales increasing complex spatial gas. Also for we verify projection effects smaller variation all considered scales. [abridged]

Regularity in the X - ray surface brightness profiles of galaxy

ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS Regularity in the X-ray surface brightness profiles of galaxy clusters and the M –T relation. Abstract. We used archival ROSAT observations to investigate the X-ray surface brightness profiles of a sample of 26 clusters in the redshift range 0.04 < z < 0.06. For 15 of these clusters accurate temperatures (kT X > 3.5 keV) were available from the literature. The scaled ...

An improved deprojection and PSF-deconvolution technique for galaxy-cluster X-ray surface-brightness profiles

We have developed a regularisation procedure for the direct deprojection and PSF-deconvolution of X-ray surface brightness profiles of clusters of galaxies. This procedure allows us to obtain accurate density profiles in a straightforward manner from X-ray observations (in particular data from XMM-Newton, where the PSF correction is important), while retaining information about substructure in ...

Regularity in the X-ray surface brightness profiles of galaxy clusters and the M–T relation

We used archival ROSAT observations to investigate the X-ray surface brightness profiles of a sample of 26 clusters in the redshift range 0.04 < z < 0.06. For 15 of these clusters accurate temperatures (kTX > 3.5 keV) were available from the literature. The scaled emission measure profiles look remarkably similar above ∼ 0.2 times the virial radius (rVT200). On the other hand a large scatter is...

The distribution of two-dimensional eccentricity of Sunyaev-Zeldovich Effect and X-ray surface brightness profiles

With the triaxial density profile of dark matter halos and the corresponding equilibrium gas distribution, we derive two-dimensional Sunyaev-Zeldovich (SZ) effect and X-ray surface brightness profiles for clusters of galaxies. It is found that the contour map of these observables can be well approximated by a series of concentric ellipses with scale-dependent eccentricities. The statistical dis...
